# Capabilities

> Turn on Push Notifications, and share one App Group between the app and both notification extensions.

iOS SDK version: 0.1.4

## Push Notifications

Turn on the **Push Notifications** capability for the app target. That is all a text push needs.

## App Group

Images and the long-press view need the two notification extensions, and the extensions share files with the app through an App Group.

1. Create one App Group and add it to the app, the Notification Service extension and the Notification Content extension.
2. On each of those three targets, set the Info.plist key `XuloAppGroup` to that group id.

```xml
<key>XuloAppGroup</key>
<string>group.app.example.ios</string>
```

The three values must be the same group id.

The App Group carries the downloaded image, the log level and the extension's crash file. It does not carry your Apple key.

## Bundle ids and signing

- Each extension's bundle id is the app's bundle id plus a suffix, for example `app.example.ios.NotificationService`.
- The app and both extensions are signed by the same team.
- The app and both extensions use iOS 15 or later.
